NEC Corp has developed generative artificial intelligence (AI) called "NEC Generative AI Service" that can be customized for each customer to adapt to their specific needs. The AI service includes licenses for proprietary large language models, dedicated hardware, software, and consulting services. NEC is also launching the "NEC Generative AI Advanced Customer Program" to support customers in creating models and utilizing the language models effectively. The company aims to achieve sales of 50 billion yen in the next three years from these generative AI-related businesses. NEC has already seen positive results internally, such as a significant reduction in man-hours required for internal system development and document creation.
